STONEBRIDGE ASSOCIATES COMPLETES STARSM ENGAGEMENT
FOR GLOBAL ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY (GET) GROUP
BOSTON, Massachusetts—December 10, 2009—Stonebridge Associates recently completed a STAR - strategic advisory review - assignment for GET Group’s Dubai-based Information Technology Solutions (ITS) division. A business unit of GET Group, ITS provides technology services and software to a wide range of government and commercial customers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets. GET ITS is experiencing rapid growth as it capitalizes on favorable demographic trends and both government sector and petro dollar-driven IT infrastructure investments in emerging MENA countries.
Over the course of several months, Stonebridge assisted GET ITS in evaluating the relative merits of a variety of potential options that the company might consider in the future including raising private equity capital, entering into a strategic partnering transaction with a global IT services company, or pursuing an initial public offering. In its advisory role, the Stonebridge team also performed an in-depth competitive analysis and provided a market-driven valuation assessment of GET ITS – enabling company leadership to determine how to best position the company for future growth.
