Stonebridge Technology Associates advises Oco, Inc. on Strategic Advisory Assignment

May 9, 2007 - Stonebridge Technology Associates (“Stonebridge”) announced today that it successfully completed a multi-year strategic advisory assignment on behalf of Oco, Inc. following the closure of the Company’s latest financing round of $14.5 million.

Client Background

Based in Waltham, MA, Oco, Inc. is a Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) provider of on-demand business intelligence applications that enable companies across a broad range of industries to analyze data about their business operations including financial planning and modeling, sales tracking and other functions. Oco has redefined the business intelligence category with an integrated solution that dramatically reduces the timeframe, cost and risk of traditional BI implementations. In just six weeks, Oco takes any amount of data from any source, and integrates, organizes and delivers it to the desktop in actionable reports and dashboards. Oco also guarantees the results on a fixed cost, fixed time basis. The Company, which currently has 15 customers and 35 employees, typically sells it solution in the range of $400,000 to $600,000 per year.

Stonebridge Role

Over the past several years, Stonebridge has worked closely with Oco to help the Company explore a broad range of strategic options that would enable the company to accelerate its growth. In this context, Stonebridge assisted Oco in evaluating and exploring a variety of alternatives which included growth capital from venture capital or other institutional investors, to establishing go-to-market alliances with large industry participants, to considering the sale of minority interest in the Company to prospective strategic investors as part of plan to gain immediate brand recognition and global distribution capabilities. Ultimately, the Company determined that additional growth capital in the form of a minority investment from a large, Boston-based hedge fund provided the best option for Oco to achieve its desired growth objectives while maintaining its marketplace independence.
